Creating an Auxiliary Wire

To create an auxiliary wire follow the steps below.


Step 1: Navigate to the 'Wires' section of the Lineardraft toolbar

Step 2: Click the 'New Auxiliary' button

Step 3: Select 'Type'

From the drop-down menu, select the type of auxiliary wire you would like to create

Step 4: Enter 'Name' Type in a name for your auxiliary wire in the text box

Step 5: Confirm wire

Click on the 'Confirm' button to create the wire. This will open the 'Select Structure' window.

Step 6: Attach auxiliary wire

Select the starting structure you wish to attach to; either from the drop down menu, or by clicking the ‘Locate’ button and selecting the required structure in 3D or plan view.

Step 7: Confirm attach

Click the 'Confirm' button to attach the wire to the structure.

Step 8: Configure wire point

Customise your wire point however you want.

The drop-down menus on the left-hand side are:

Mast: Select which mast the wire is attached to; used when attaching to portals
Status: The current status of the wire point being placed

The text boxes in the right-hand side adjust the following:

Height: The height of the auxiliary wire
Offset: The horizontal distance from the centre of the mast

The 'Anchor' checkbox can be ticked when you want to anchor the wire to the structure.
The 'Equipment' checkbox can be ticked to add auxiliary equipment. Learn more here.

Step 9: Click 'Confirm'
