There is a known incompatibility issue between MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 17.0, version number 10.17.00.209, and Lineardraft.
Do not use MicroStation CONNECT Update 17.0 (10.17.00.209) with Lineardraft.
What issues occur using this version?
The following issues will occur when using MicroStation CONNECT Update 17.0. Opening a DGN file with this version of MicroStation CONNECT will:
- Remove all Lineardraft data from the file with no way to recover the data
- Cause Lineardraft not to function

- Zebraware's independent testing on Update 17.1 (10.17.01.58) has finished, and we can confirm it no longer exhibits the issues listed above.
- Please ensure when upgrading to MicroStation CONNECT Update 17, that you are using Update 17.1 (10.17.01.58) or later.
- Advice remains in place to our users to not use Update 17.0 (10.17.00.209), as this version still causes the issues listed above.
- To download and install a specific version of MicroStation CONNECT, follow this article created by Bentley and select a version prior to Update 17.0, or Update 17.1 or later.

- Zebraware's independent testing on Update 17.1 (10.17.01.58) has begun and is taking place concurrently with other priority projects.
- We expect to have completed testing and confirmed the compatibility status of Update 17.1 and Lineardraft before the end of Q1 2023.

- Advice remains in place to our users to not upgrade to Update 17 (10.17.00.209) or Update 17.1 (10.17.01.58) at this time, until we've completed our testing.

- Bentley have communicated to us that the issue is fixed in version 17.1, which has now been released.
- Zebraware are independently testing if this version still affects Lineardraft models.

- Once 17.1 has been released, Zebraware will independently test if this version still affects Lineardraft models.
