The settings tab in the ‘Edit Structure’ window allows you to configure various visual aspects of your design.
The tab is divided into the following sections:
- Layout
- Structure box visibility
- Structure box configuration
- Support symbols
- Span & versine
- Elevation
Layout
Scale: Enabling this toggle allows you to override the default size of the structure box by using the up/down arrows. The default size is the sheet scale.
Orientation: Allows you to choose the sheet orientation for your structure box, from lowest chainage on the left or lowest chainage on the right.
Structure Box Visibility
Allows you to choose which aspects of the structure box you would like visible on your layout. Options highlighted in blue indicates they are visible. The options are indicated in the image below.
Reset structure box positions: If you have previously moved your structure box you’ll be able to use this toggle switch to reset it back to its default location.
Structure Box Configuration
Type: Allows you to choose the style of your structure box if you have an alternative style set up as part of your project settings.
Position: Allows you to determine which side of the structure you would like the structure details box and wire box to be placed. Only available for portal structures. Learn more about the default setting here.
Offset: Allows you to change where the structure box is positioned in terms of distance or ‘offset’ from the track. Measured in metres.
Rotation: Allows you to rotate your structure box. By default this will be set to 0 and the box will be parallel to tracks. Measured in degrees.
Support Symbols
Custom support symbols can only be added to your model if they have been previously set up as part of your project settings.
'Left' and 'Right' refers to which side of the associated track(s) the structure support is on, when looking in the direction of increasing chainage. If the selected structure is a portal, both 'Left' and 'Right' will be available as there are structure supports on both sides of the track(s).
Span & Versine
Tolerance: Allows you to increase or decrease the minimum versine that will be displayed on layouts and reports as part of the span & versine annotation, anything below this value will display as zero. Measured in metres.
Rounding: Allows you to adjust what the span measurement is rounded to when displayed on the span & versine annotation. Measured in metres
Elevation
Width: Allows you to set the distance in the along track orientation that is displayed in saved views and all orthographic views (Front, Back, Left, Right and Top) of your structure. Measured in metres. Learn more about Along Track Clip Offset.
