Span type can be set and changed via the 'Span Type' tab in the 'Edit Wire' window or in the 'Edit Wire' dialog when editing an individual wire point. See the steps below to find out how.
Step 1: Click the 'Edit' button in the 'Wires' section of the Lineardraft toolbar
This will open the wire selection window.
Step 2: Click on the wire you want to edit and click 'Edit'
Alternatively, you can select your wire from the drop-down menu or click on a stagger symbol associated with the wire. Clicking 'Edit' will open the 'Edit Wire' window.
Step 3: Click on the 'Span types' tab
You'll see a list of every span in your wire run.

Step 4: Locate the span you'd like to change
You can search by structure in the search box or scroll through the list.
Step 5: Choose a new span type from the drop-down menu
Step 6: Click 'Update Wire'
This will save your changes to your design and close the window.

Step 2: Click on the wire you want to edit

Step 3: Click on the structure at the start of the span you would like to edit and click 'Edit'
Make sure the locate button is red to show it is active, then click on the structure at the lowest chainage in the span which you'd like to change the type. Alternatively, you can select your structure from the drop-down menu.
Clicking 'Edit' will open the 'Edit Wire' window directly in the 'Edit Wire' dialog.
Step 4: Click the three dots icon
Two new drop-down menus will appear.
Step 5: Select a new span type from the drop-down menu
Step 6: Click 'Apply'
This will close the 'Edit Wire' dialog and return you to the 'Wire points' tab of the 'Edit Wire' window.
Step 7: Click 'Update Wire'
This will save your changes to model and close the window.
