Average Height of Catenary System

The midpoint between the contact wire and catenary wire, expressed as a height value above HRL. Lineardraft calculates this value by averaging the contact wire height and catenary wire height. For example, if your contact wire height is 4.7m and your catenary wire height is 6m, then your average height of catenary system would be 5.35m.

This value can be included in catenary wire boxes and catenary anchor wire boxes, and is often used where balance weight anchors or auto tensioning devices are present in your design.
