Deprecated Item

When items in a design catalogue, such as wire supports or span types, become obsolete or outdated, they are known as deprecated items. These items are marked with the word ‘Deprecated’ in their name.

While deprecated items will not receive any further updates, they are not removed from design catalogues, as they are needed to maintain backwards compatibility for past projects, and to make it easy for users to migrate to the latest version(s).

This means items will continue to appear the same in plan and 3D views, as well as in allocation reports, if they become deprecated.

Please note: In response to user feedback, we are currently reviewing the best way to provide more information on why a part has been deprecated; i.e., a previous version or obsolete.
