Annotating a Structure Using a Configuration Template

The process below outlines how to use a configuration template to speed up annotating elevation drawings.

Please note: We recommend reviewing your structures in the Elevation Module manager after installing or updating the Elevation Module to ensure everything is fully compatible and up to date.

Step 1: Click the 'Create' button in the 'Elevation Module' section of the Lineardraft toolbar

This will open the 'Create Elevation' window.

Step 2: Select the structure you want to annotate

You can do this by selecting the structure from the drop-down menu or using the locate button and clicking directly on the structure in your model.

Please note: You may need to use the Elevation Module Manager to rebuild your structure if you get a warning at this point.

Step 3: Choose your reference model from the drop-down menu

You may have multiple references in the same sheet (e.g front view, side view, top view), choose the one you want to add dimensions to.

Step 4: Click the 'Load configuration' icon

This will open a File Explorer window.

Step 5: Locate and select your chosen configuration template and click 'Open'

Step 6: Click 'Draw'

Next step: Find out how to create a configuration template here.
