Walls are a deprecated structure type. They have been replaced by the Attachment Point structure. Please see: Creating an Attachment Point
The steps below will guide you through adding a legacy wall structure.
Step 1: Place a marker
Place a circle to act as a marker for the position you would like to place the Structure.
Step 2: Left click the 'Structures: Place' button
You may need to left click & hold on the 'Structures' button to reveal additional buttons.
Step 3: Left click the marker
This should be the marker you placed in Step 1.
Step 4: Right click
This will allow the placement of a Wall structure.
Step 5: Left click the Left Rail
This should be the leftmost rail of the tracks you wish the structure to be associated with when looking in the direction of increasing chainage.
Step 6: Left click the Right Rail
This should be the rightmost rail of the tracks you wish the structure to be associated with when looking in the direction of increasing chainage.
Step 7: Select 'Wall' Structure Type
The following 'Create Structure' form will now appear. From the 'Type' drop-down menu, select 'Wall'.
Step 8: Enter 'Structure Details'
After selecting 'Wall' the layout of the form will update to the one shown below. Complete the 'Structure Details' section with a name and the chainage the structure should be located at.
Name: Identifier for the structure
Chainage: Chainage value the structure should be placed at in kilometres
Step 9: Configure Wall
Adjust values for the Bearing and distance To Wall.
Bearing: Rotation of the Wall in degrees measured from North (0°)
To Wall: Distance between the wall and the closest rail
Step 10: Left click 'Confirm'
This will close the 'Create Structure' form.
Step 11: Confirm the Structure has been placed correctly
You can now confirm that Lineardraft has placed the structure, which will be visible in the Plan view.
