Edit Structure Window: Notes

The ‘Notes’ tab within the ‘Edit Structure’ window allows you to add, edit, delete and view all notes attached to a structure. The article below outlines the functionality of the ‘Notes’ tab.

If you would like to follow the full process of adding, editing or deleting notes, please see the linked articles.

  1. Add: Allows you to add a note to a structure; this will add a note card to the window.
  2. Filter: You can filter the notes on a structure by note type, using the buttons in the top of the tab. For example, clicking 'Hazard' will apply a filter so only notes with the type 'Hazard' will be shown. Applying no filters means that all notes will be visible.
  3. Resize: You can make note cards larger or smaller in the window using the scale bar.
  4. Update Structure: For any change to be applied to your structure, you will need to click ‘Update Structure’. This will also apply any changes you have made to your structure in other tabs of the ‘Edit Structure’ window.
  5. Note card: Each individual note is displayed as a note card that is individually editable.

Note Card

  1. Type: This drop-down menu allows you to choose between the different type of notes you would like to add to your structure; these can be 'Hazards', notes 'For Construction' or notes 'For Design'.
  2. Text box: The content of your note can be typed and edited from here.
  3. Graphics visibility toggle: If switched to ‘Graphics visible’ the graphic elements defined by your project settings will be displayed for this note. ‘Graphics hidden’ will hide that specific note in your layout and model.
  4. Delete: Clicking the bin icon in the bottom right corner of the notes card will delete this note. Once ‘Update Structure’ is clicked, its deletion will be confirmed. However, if you click 'Cancel' or close the window the note will not be deleted.
