Multi-Edit Structure Window

The 'Multi-Edit Structure' window, accessed via the 'Multi-Edit' button in the 'Structures' section of the Lineardraft toolbar, allows you to perform the following functions:

  • 'Data manager' - import custom asset data for structures
  • 'Saved view manager' - create and update saved views for your structures
  • 'Tracks manager' - reassociate main tracks with multiple structures and export track tolerance reports
  • 'Hidden structures' - change the hidden structure option of all hidden structures

The article below outlines the functionality of the ‘Multi-Edit Structure’ window. If you would like to follow the full processes for using the data manager, saved view manager, tracks manager, or hidden structures, please see the linked articles.

Function: Allows you to select one of the functions; 'Data manager', 'Saved view manager', 'Tracks manager', or 'Hidden structures'.

Data manager

  1. Import: Opens a file explorer window where you can select a .csv file to import into your design, which applies asset data to your structures.
  2. Search by property: Allows you to filter the list of imported properties below by searching for a property by name.
  3. Resize slider: Drag to resize the imported properties listed below.
  4. Properties: The list of imported properties. This area will be empty if no asset data has been imported. You can click the bin icon next to any property to delete it, along with its corresponding structure data, from your design.

Saved view manager

  1. Deselect all: Unchecks all structures in the list.
  2. Select all: Checks all structures in the list.
  3. Select all uncreated and out of date: Checks only structures that have uncreated or out of date saved views.
  4. Locate: When enabled, allows you to click directly on the structure you'd like to select.
  5. Filter by selected: When enabled, the list will only show structures that have been checked.
  6. Search: Search for a structure by name.
  7. Structure list: Each row includes the structure name, structure type, and distance value. The checkbox on the left allows you to select/deselect the structure.
  8. Centre view on structure: Clicking this button will show the corresponding structure in your active view.
  9. View status: Denotes the saved view status of the corresponding structure. A green tick denotes a created and up-to-date saved view, a yellow warning triangle means a view has previously been created but is out of date, and a blue 'i' icon means no saved view has been created yet.

Tracks manager

  1. Selection: Three buttons that assist you in selecting or deselecting structures for reassociation with tracks. 'None' clears your currently selected structures. 'Similar' is available when a structure is already selected, and when clicked will select structures of the same type along the same tracks. The locate button allows you to click directly on the structure you'd like to select.
  2. Tolerance: The tolerance value allows the user to define the acceptable distance the tracks can be from their original location when associated with a structure.
  3. Structure list: Shows all the structures that can be selected to be reassociated with tracks, with the following columns:
    • Status: A green tick means the structure is within tolerance, a yellow warning symbol means the tracks are out of tolerance and need to be reassociated, a red exclamation icon means tracks not found
    • Structure: A checkbox which allows you to select the structure for reassociation, next to the structure name; also includes the 'Centre view on structure' button
    • Tracks: Shows the number of main tracks with which the structure is associated
    • Horizontal: Shows how much the tracks have moved from their original location at a structure in the horizontal axis
    • Vertical: Shows how much the tracks have moved from their original location at a structure in the vertical axis
    • Delta: Shows the total amount the tracks have moved from their original location at a structure
  4. Reassociate selected: When structures are selected, this button can be clicked to then reassociate tracks with them. The number shows how many structures have been selected.
  5. Generate report: Allows you to generate a track tolerance report.
