There are occasions throughout the design process where you may need to update the tracks associated with a structure. The instructions below outline how to do this for a single structure.
More Info: To reassociate the tracks associated with multiple structures please see this article
Step 1: Click the 'Edit' button in the 'Structures' section of the Lineardraft toolbar
This will open the structure selection window.
Step 2: Click on the structure you want to edit and click 'Edit'
Alternatively, you can select your structure from the drop-down in the structure selection window.
Clicking 'Edit' will open the 'Edit Structure' window.
Step 3: Click the 'Tracks' tab on the left-hand side
Step 4: Click 'Reassociate’
This will open the 'Reassociate Tracks' dialog
Step 5: Review 'Maintain Relative Foundation Height' control
When disabled, the foundation height will be dynamic, matching that of the HRL. When enabled, the foundation height will remain the same despite the change in the track association.
Step 6: Select your updated 'Left rail'
This should be the left most rail of the track or tracks you are reassociating, in the direction of increasing chainage/distance.
Step 7: Select your updated 'Right rail'
This should be the right most rail of the track or tracks you are reassociating, in the direction of increasing chainage/distance.
Feedback will display within the dialog to indicate if the addition has been successful, if unsuccessful hover over the 'i' icon for more information.
Step 8: Click ‘Apply’
This will close the 'Reassociate Tracks' dialog.
Step 9: Click ‘Update Structure’
This will close the ‘Edit Structure’ window and update your changes.
